The Hebrew alphabet is one of the most ancient Alphabets, it is the the language of the Bible. Hebrew ceased to be used as a spoken language around 70CE. At the beginning of the 20th Cent. the lanaguage was revived by Eliezer BenYehuda who had the vision and passion to develop the language to become a spoken language again. It was a linguistic miracle. Never before had a language which had ceased to be spoken revived out of the ashes in this way.
